69¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ

As associate director of alum and family communications, Beckie Markarian works closely with colleagues across campus to drive and coordinate all marketing and communications efforts for 69¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ's alum audiences. She also helps to develop and implement strategies to promote the College's funding priorities.

Beckie is a proud 69¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ alum from the class of 2007. She pursued music and psychology as a student, and returned to the music department in 2009 to serve as the choral assistant for two years.

Beckie has enjoyed serving her alma mater for over 10 years as part of the College Relations division. After receiving an MBA in Nonprofit Management from Simmons School of Management, she returned to 69¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ in 2013 as a member of The 69¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ Fund. Over the years she has worked closely with recent alums and students, and created and managed fundraising campaigns and challenges. In 2021 she joined the Office of Marketing and Communications, where she serves as Associate Director of Alum and Family Communications.

In addition to her work at 69¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ, Beckie is involved in a number of local arts nonprofits and musical ensembles in the Pioneer Valley. Along with singing and playing flute and piccolo with multiple groups, she has served on the board of directors for a number of arts organizations over the years. She had previously served as the president of the Pioneer Valley Symphony, and is currently chairing the UMass Arts Council and the Choral Arts New England communications committee.
